What funds Aren't dying?
Feel like I'm only seeing negative threads regarding funds blowing up...interested to hear about funds that are doing well. I know they are out there, and have read/heard of some still going very strong.

Not sure why this got MS, lot of these funds have done quite well.
HIG, KPS, Greenbriar are a few names that come to mind.
Might double-check on HIG... very possible you have better info than I do, but have heard some chatter indicating fundraising may not be going well / teams were reshuffled. They killed their tech fund a couple years ago (that was basically brand new), and think their higher quality fund may have a couple dogs
True that none of these are dying, but funny that two of them had BKs in the last few weeks/months.
Why do praise posts get no comments while negative posts go viral here... lol
Because most funds aren't dying, they're doing okay but mostly nothing to write home about. It's also not that easy to tell... funds can mark their assets way up and make it look like they're doing really well, but that doesn't mean anything until they go to market with them. The spectacular blowups are unusual and will always get more attention.
of course i know the reasons... i just rather see more positive posts and comments
Fr lol
Blackstone
Really?
Some that I have heard that have done well recently / generally heard strong things about their exits - HIG, AKKR, Gemspring, Cove Hill, Veritas, Thoma Bravo (before this latest fund, which may be iffy), New Mountain, The Riverside Company, Lead Edge Capital, TA Associates, One Rock, Brighton Park
I thought one rock was struggling to fundraise? Regardless would also add Greenbriar, Gridiron, Monomoy, Kohlberg and Wind Point. All of these firms have raised larger funds in this tough fundraising environment
