What is the market sell-side fee for a business broker on a $20m sale? Home healthcare industry
We are buying a business for $15-20m (negotiating) DTS without a broker. One party sourced the deal direct, the other party is bringing capital. I figure the sourcing party should be compensated somewhere in line with what a business broker would be compensated, if not more, and whatever portion is taken as equity instead of cash should be higher. In this case, the buy side would be paying the fee though, not the seller.
Any thoughts or figures would be helpful.
