What’s the latest on HGGC?
What’s the latest on HGGC? Would it make sense to go there if ultimately looking to end up at a Hedge Fund? Either after business school or after PE stint. Very much appreciate any advice anyone has. Thank you.

Not sure at VP level based on title, but know someone there says it’s 150 base for ASO1 150bonus - pretty above market tbh
Know VP and below working there, still have to work late and over weekends but it's much less stress than my friends at TPG for sure. Neither of them want to work for HF or go to business school. Not sure about comp but they both own houses in the Bay Area with their SO.
Decent shop that's been growing, but don't have much insight. Our firm knows them pretty well from processes since they play in the LMM space

Something very wrong is happening there. Been hearing bad buzz on them the last few months in particular. Combination of bad deals and weak fundraising.
Dang, I work for an allocator that follows them - what is making you say that? And what specific deals if you can share?

Probably won’t be a blow up, but their performance hasn’t been anything to shout about recently. More than a handful of portcos that have been struggling.
