I am an incoming SA at a boutique, and I’m interested in recruiting for full-time PE analyst programs. However, I’m planning on going abroad next semester, and know there will be a huge time difference for networking.
When is a good time to start networking for PE analyst programs? Is it probable that my SA bank will find out?

What if you are at a semi-target but at a top group (GS TMT etc.), what do you recommend to get into the events and networking sessions?

Would it make sense to focus on more senior folks (partner +), or does it not matter that much? I imagine a partner/principal would have more influence over an associate in the analyst recruiting process, right?
