Which one is more political -PE or consulting?

Curious on your perspective on this - which industry do you think is more political, consulting or PE? What do you experience as the differences in these 2 industries in the aspects of internal politics?

Interesting question. I would argue it depends on the firm and the size of the company.
A PE firm, IMO, is more political. But that could be my personal view of my own firm, maybe it is different elsewhere? PE is very small as an industry and people know each other. "Consulting" as a whole industry is massive, in comparison.
I think that would make sense. PE puts money where their mouth is by having a view that can be deemed political, while consulting is bullshitting to anyone for money and thus having no inherent view.
