Will BB/IB and PE funds consider a candidate who’s currently on student visa but with a pending green-card application?

I’m currently on a student visa (with an OPT/CPT work authorization) and just initiated a family-based green card application process which usually takes ~ 6 months with almost 0 risk.

My current visa will expire in early next year but I can get the green card by then.

So my question is - for those banks/funds that do not sponsor, can I pass the screening round (because I won’t require them to sponsor my H1B)?

And which banks / funds would still be open to candidates on OPT/CPT?

Really want to start recruiting now so would appreciate any insights. Thanks!!
