Will CDD experience at a T2 firm (like EYP or LEK) set you up for a PE exit (not MF, but UMM or MM)?
Or is it worth trying to lateral to MBB? I'm beginning my first year at a T2 firm and not too sure how to plan for a next step.

Why is this a useful question? If you are in an MBB generalist role and you wanted to exit to PE you can get CDD experience. Therefore, comparing someone with CDD exp at a t2 to an MBB generalist without CDD experience isn’t a valid comparison. If you mean to compare a generalist with CDD exp against a pure CDD consultant at a T2, I think brand name becomes important and MBB probably has the advantage.
I got you, I updated the question to be more direct!
Went from T2 CDD mostly to UMM PE, would not recommend. Lateral to MBB ASAP.
