Hi WSO, would like to understand what it takes to break into the private debt space. Mostly interned with FoF shops and took classes on PE/VC, so my knowledge on the private debt field is limited. I realised there are good overview for other asset classes (Infrastructure, traditional PE, Real Estate) but few for private debt. Love to know how I can better equip myself for a potential private debt interview.

Most people that go into reputable private debt shops have an IB LevFin or IB RX background. Best way to learn about it is to read credit primers and the plethora of info online on the space
