They get a ton of vacation and folks I’ve met there seem happy and well rested.
Networked w some mid/senior level folks there (alums from my business school) while I was getting my MBA. They were not happy there and they both (separately) said that while yes the vacation was nice, it stemmed from the European culture which also comes with lots of bureaucracy and subpar comp.
They've increased the comp. Starting for an analyst for their FA program is 115k base out of college. Think they're trending in the right direction
Total comp is still well below market since bonus is sub-25% for analysts. Firm wise they are structurally unable to pay market comp due to their EBITDA margin targets, treatment of carry as ordinary income, and over staffing.

over staffing? that sounds fantastic. i would gladly take a paycut to live and work in denver at a $7b+ fund with analysts under me to do btch work for less hours.
