Work place politics due to manager change - advices/books on how to navigate

Hi,

Recently changed a manager due to higher level turnover, and new manager doesn't seem to be too fond of people left over from the old manager's time. New manager also seems a bit more insecure than the old one and seemingly a bit more political (at least at this point)

I have no beef with anyone and just want to be able to progress my own career; what are some general advice you'd give for people in a similar situation, and are there any books on how to navigate this sort of situations?

Thanks
