Had some introductory calls with Chicagoland- based Wynnchurch for an interesting opportunity - problem is I can't find anyone other than current employees for feedback on the shop. It looks like performance has been solid and they continue to grow, but is there anyone out there with thoughts on culture/comp?

Heard the culture has improved over the years due to strong performance and fundraising. However, the firm was started by ex- GE Capital folks, so naturally there is some sharp elbows. There was one spinout from Wynnchurch in 2017 / 2018 that has done fairly well.
