Advice for applying for 2024 and types of roles I should look at?

Hi all,

I'm a rising junior doing valuations at a MF privately-traded REIT this summer. My team touches every single asset part of the REIT at some point, and is responsible for presenting the findings to the "big guys" at the REPE firm and are in constant contact with them. I'm really enjoying it so far, but as I've seen on this forum, the biggest problem is that I do not get to see deal flow with this experience, especially because of the interest rates (I was told that when the MF acquires a property for the REIT, they have to value it and whatever blah blah blah but I don't think that really counts). I will be doing tons of DCF, though. Anyway, a couple of questions:

1) Wayyy too early to tell, but if I return, is the lack of deal experience hurt me for FT jobs after I graduate? I'd assume if I stay for next summer, it's highly likely I'd also stay full-time, but who knows?
2) Any types of specific RE roles that think someone with this experience would be fit for next summer?

I know it's early to ask these questions but 2024 summer apps open soon and I wanna have some opinion going into the process. Thank you!
