Am I Crazy For Wanting to Quit It All and Get a Remote Role/Buy a Small Business/Do Anything Else?

Current college student here and I'll say that's probably my dream post-IB so you're definetly not crazy. Everything depends on your own goals and there's no point living a life that's not authentic towards yourself.
At least that's my 2 cents :)

Not at all.
Doesn't have to be an either/or. Here in a few months I'm quitting, getting a remote role, and starting a small business that is still very much in real estate development.

Just “Developer”
We have a couple deals scattered about, and all require plane travel for site visits, so it doesn’t matter really where I live.
What’s the focus of the business, Advisory to developers or on the principal side?
Principal side. A partner and I are doing our own deals.
I quit too and got a remote role. Funny enough there seems to be a ton of remote roles in even in CRE.
In what capacity are you working remotely? And how is pay?

I’d be interested as well. I’m looking to pivot into CRE & am having a difficult time given my background & current job market.
Is this like a fully remote analytical job - ie you could go work from Mexico or Europe because all you're doing is models, memos, etc.? Or is it still a VP-level job just that you don't have to go to the office and can live anywhere in the US and fly to your site visits?
If the former, do you have any concern that you do this for 5 - 10 years and then your job ends up becoming replaceable and now you're stuck with a resume where you haven't been sourcing/executing for so long?
Its the latter. Gotta still be in the US and near one of our offices. Its remote because the company is downsizing office space.
What do these fully remote, location-agnostic (ex. Europe, etc.) US roles in RE look like from title, daily work, to compensation?
I wanna live in Europe, Spain or Portugal, somewhere sunny with nice beaches and cheap liquor. I want to earn my income in USD. Give me a flat with ocean views. I want to work from cafes. I want to start a wine bar when I hit $100k.
I think about this everyday. Especially when I look at promotes evaporating.
What are some remote roles that pay decent base? I don’t even care about bonus at this point
