Analysts on brokerage teams - switch to full time broker?

Currently in my 4th year as analyst on brokerage team making good $$$ but wanted to ask how guys have made the jump up to full time broker? Currently do a ton of brokerage work like tours, client meetings, cold calls, etc. but my team still views me as an analyst, curious on how guys have made the jump.

If you're doing tours, client meetings, cold calls, etc. but still being looked at and treated like an analyst they're getting one over on you. It's time to have a talk with the decision makers at your company about what you've been doing and what you want out of your career.

I need some help on this front too and will piggyback on this thread. V similar situation in debt brokerage. I pretty much do everything on the execution side once top guys get signed up on an exclusive from modeling, to OMs (including creating the pitch), to calling lenders, answering questions, tours, pushing all parties thru DD, etc and in my free time canvassing the market for new capital sources. Producers are involved but I’m really the one doing almost all of the blocking and tackling. The group has a binary view that you’re either an analyst or a producer (100% commish based). With dealflow falling off a cliff I’m shook to be on a commission structure.

Really not sure what the progression is supposed to look like and get no real response when I ask internally. Do people really hire younger guys on exclusive basis? Would appreciate some guidance and perspective on this. Right now I think my best bet is to leave but job mrkt obviously sucks.
