Would like to see if people have gone south of the border for a pay bump and better opportunities.
Currently working in RE dev in Toronto, but as time progresses I realize how small the industry is here and how limited opportunities are. Wondering if that resonates with others on this sub and if so, how you parlayed your Canadian experience into a role in the states.
Thinking mainly about HCOL cities but open to any stories.

Interesting. What’s been the common denominator amongst them in terms of how they’ve transitioned to America? I figure it’s usually industry connections, an MBA, or headhunters but truly have no idea.
Not sure if people know this, but there are about 1M Canadians who live in the US - permanently I think. It is only natural that they work in the US as well. I am not even sure if they were "hired from Canada" to work for us at all.
There are also thousands of Canadians in the UK as well (and other nations, of course).
