I have an opportunity on the principal side and wanted to see if any principals were on here I could discuss with.

Just a FYI, being on the principal side just means the buy-side. Being a principal, means you own/run a large percentage of a company, where you have a financial stake in the refinances and sales.
I am both, although the latter is small potatoes.
