Applying for Analyst roles as an Associate (2-3 years of experience)

Hey guys curious what your thoughts are. My current title is associate really in title, I started at this role 2 years in. Thoughts on applying for analyst roles at top developers I want to work for? Seems you need around 2 years experience and I’m at the 3 year mark. Currently company is an ok/no name firm and where I’d apply is a top well known firm in a major city. Would these be seen as a step down in title? Overall thoughts on this? I’m thinking I’m an associate in name only and realistically more on an analyst level since I came from brokerage and just moved to the principal side.
