ARGUS Enterprise Certification
Hi guys. I know this has been talked about before regarding the Argus Enterprise certification. I'm a first year undergraduate and obviously looking to be in Real estate in the capital markets sector. Ive taken the 2 day Argus class and planning to take the exam for the certification soon. It seems very easy and straightforward. I can understand and go through the case studies. I do want to get some extra practice though and was wondering if any of you have some case studies I can use to practice!
The cost of the exam is $350 and the certification only lasts for 2 years and the re-cert. costs $150. No internship is going to expect you to be certified in Argus, experience with software alone is enough. Wait till you are a junior/senior to take the certification in my opinion.. As for the case studies.. I only used the 3 in the back of the manual and that was plenty to prepare. Just be sure you can move quickly through a study with out any silly errors.
Thanks for the tips! I've already purchased the training session, so might as well just get the certification. Is your manual based on the newest version 11.5? I know they have different manual for older versions with different case study.
Yes, i used 11.0.5.55
If you can pass the test (which is not easy if you don't work in RE) as a freshman in college that is totally awesome. I'm shocked that you even understand basic PV concepts. Do your parents work in real estate or something?
No my parents don't work in real estate. I just genuinely like real estate and involved in some CRE organizations. I've purchased some financial modeling courses online that I do lightly on the side. Hard to be committed when I have to divide my attention in school. I hope I can pass the exam, it seems very easy. There's nothing in the manual or case studies I don't understand. I just make silly mistakes sometimes like forgetting to apply a market leasing profile after setting it up, but I can error check and see where I was wrong after looking at the reports, but you can't do that in the exam. It has to be perfect in the first try.
How much was the class? Worth it or just self-study for the $350 test?
