ASB Real Estate Investments
Ran a search and got nothing back. Does anyone have any insight or experience with this firm in Washington, DC? Trying to gather due diligence for potential opportunities after grad school. Looking for things like office culture, comp, opportunities for advancement, deal flow, etc.
Any info is appreciated!
Anyone?
@Virginia Tech 4ever" and Count_Chocula are my go-tos for DC. They should be able to give you some insight (or perhaps more telling - maybe they won't be able to)
they have a big open-ended core fund. Its a little over $6B GAV. Called Allegiance Fund. They also have a value-add/opportunistic separate account. Smart people at the shop, pretty lean. Only invest in like 10 markets.Their performance in their core fund has been really strong. Their head guy is interesting, somewhat of a character if you ask me. Overall, solid place to work.
I appreciate your misplaced faith CRE, but I honestly don't know anything more than what StanCRE just outlined.
they are a relatively small shop, there isn't going to be a ton out there. Forgot to mention, that you will work both acquisitions and asset mgt, so good amount of hands on experience that allows you to do acquisitions, which everyone wants, and to execute on a business plan. That said, not sure there is going to be anything else different about working their than any other pension fund advisor with a core fund.
Thanks CRE for the DC go-to suggestions and thanks StanCRE for the insight. I wasn't able to come across much besides the obvious, so was hoping to at least get a feel for what they are doing. It was helpful!
