Asking for target bonus during interview process?
Just wondering if it is common practice to ask what is target bonus during interviews or is that kind of looked down upon.

You ask salary and yes what the target bonus is. Usually you should ask these questions to HR in the beginning of the process.
I wouldn't lead the initial interview with that, but yes asking about the compensation package during the screening interview is good for both parties. You don't want to waste their time and yours if you don't have interest in the position based on the comp. Everyone knows we are all working for a paycheck, so no one is going to be offended if you ask how much money this position pays.
“Should I ask my potential employer how much they plan to compensate me for my work” just think about it. Would you like to know how much you’ll be getting paid? Or do you want to show up on the first day and hope it’s fair?
You’re misinterpreting. I’m asking about “TARGET BONUS”. Obviously I’d ask for base, that’s expected. A lot of shops say bonus is discretionary so I’m asking is it common to ask about TARGET BONUS.
