Couple of data points (all New York)

(Equity) Director at a Life Co: 175k base + 150k bonus. Carry is another 300k/year assuming they hit underwriting (they probably won't at this point) with a 5 year vesting schedule (rolling). 10 years post MBA.

(Equity) VP at a GP: 175k + 75k bonus. No carry. ~5 years out of MBA.

(Equity) Senior Associate at a fund: 200k base + 150k bonus. No carry. 5 years out of MBA

(debt) head of AM at a fund: 15+ years. 300k base + 300k bonus + 350k carry

(Debt) Principal at a fund: 15+ years. 250k base, 250k bonus, 150k carry

(debt) VP at a fund: ~13 years. 200k base, 150k bonus, 150k carry

The debt people I know tend to make more $ because we are at large funds vs the equity people I know which is a mix of smaller funds and life cos.
