Asset management to Development/Acquisitions?
Currently work as an AM at a large retail reit. I am more interested in modeling out acquisitions and development projects.
Is it possible for me to switch at some point? Is this a somewhat common pivot?
AM is soul sucking boring for me as I have way more interest in modeling
Nah, you're stuck forever.
Yes
Ok, but “modeling” is what you do in development or acqusitions for like 2-4 years. And then you have your analyst do it and check the results. And then you just tell the person who checks the analysts’ results to give you 1-2 return metrics.
“Modeling” isn’t the job.
Thanks for the response. What’s it become later on?
