Asset Mgmt Analyst at REIT firm - bad reviews of company online? worth it?

I'm interviewing for an asset mgmt analyst role with an REIT firm (200-500 employees total) soon - job description seems exactly like what i am searching for and i was really excited to be a candidate for it. i was looking up the reviews on glassdoor and it seems like the general consensus is that it is not a good place to work. what are some questions i can strategically ask during the interview addressing this (without sounding rude) to see if those are just whiny ex-employee's reviews or if this is actually what the work atmosphere is like? side note - only 9 reviews within last 2 years.

One thing to look for is the position of the people doing the reviews. If you see a lot of former leasing agents or assistant property managers or accountants trashing the company, that doesn't mean your team and the people you interact with will give the same experience.

Other than that though, it's just a toss up. You might be able to figure out during the interview if it's a good place to work or not or you might not. These things are hard to predict and a lot of that comes down to you, personally, as well.

Remember that the people leaving the reviews are often people that either have had an exceptionally great experience, or terrible experience. It also varies by department, manager, team, etc. so take it all with a grain of salt. Keep any eye out for reviews that shed some light on what the actual position entails - rather than b%$#@ing about unfair workloads and such.
