They have better things to do with their time - 100% they will not check. They didn’t hire you because your GPA was a 3.9 - that may have mattered when determining if you got an interview. They hired because they liked you IN the interviews.

I understand where you’re coming from though, I’ve been there before when I was younger. Congrats on the role!

Ok then why dont you come clean with HR ? Let them know it's a mistake value, and let's see if it's irrelevant as you have implied otherwise. It's just not fair, I know plenty people who are super talented but screened out because of this point (internships etc but probably less for graduate roles) ... in my opinion, it does matter early on. Taking advantage of the system all this time, I get it ... you do you bhruv
