BB Residential Financing --> REPE

I am currently a 2nd year analyst at a BB focusing in real estate AM. We provide various financing solutions for UHNW clientele, Real estate shells & trusts. Although these deals are considered residental, the comprehensive analysis of a potential deal incorporates multifamily projects, as these are the types of properties my clients are interested in. In short, I have analyzed the financials, structure, profitablility, and stability of 200+ highly desired buildings all over the country, so it is fair to say I am familiar with the market. Furthermore; I am familar with ins and outs of obtaining large scale financing and can spot an a grape from a raisin.

Now the question:could this experience be levaeraged into a REPE role? The market is becoming a bit saturated in the multifamily space, but I have heard of opportunities out there. I understand the importance of networking and all that jazz, but am looking for guidance on whether my tangible skills will translate to a REPE analyst position.
