Best REIB groups
I think the title is somewhat self explanatory. I just wanted to get peoples thoughts on what were the best REIB groups among the investment banks. I’ve gotten feedback from REPE professionals that starting out in REIB could be very advantageous in terms of being great with PowerPoint and excel only to a certain extent.
RE at BofA is top of the street. However, it’s known to be really sweaty.
GS, MS, BofA, Citi, Barclays for BB. Eastdil for Boutiques.
BofA, GS, CS (expertise in gaming), MS, JPM. The rest of BBs don't compare
Citi has the best exits out of all of the BB Regal groups, so clearly this person doesn’t know what they’re talking about. Barclays is very solid as well. But even banks like UBS, DB, Jefferies etc will have good exits/deal flow. So basically I would say bank matters less- but the ones with bigger analyst classes in REGAL (Citi, BAML etc.) tend to have the highest volume of top exits. Btw I have no affiliation with Citi, but LinkedIn confirms info.
Hey prospect, do you realize that not every IB analyst posts what group they were in? Your analysis is wholly incomplete
How's RBC's RE group regarded?
Pretty solid
Were on a huge deal with BX at the end of 2020.
Eastdil and BofA
What are timelines for Eastdil Secured (current sophomore)
They interview in october to november of your Junior year. This was the west coast team though, I didn't get an interview with East coast so wouldn't know their schedule. Cheers.
