best way to find a mentor?

sending countless linked in connection requests, tons of emails to people who are in a place to advise on my current situation I barely get any response. I'm a real estate entrepreneur who wants to make it big, there is a huge opportunity I'm seeing that no one else is, once in a lifetime opportunity.

what is the best way to find a mentor that has a formal RE background? there is something that tells me not to give up but I'm hitting the same walls, again and again.

This - I can pretty much guarantee you're not the only person who has had whatever this idea is.

You shouldn't be reaching out for formal mentorship. Just reach out to meet people and say you're interested in what they do and would love to pick their brain over coffee and start the relationship that way. If you hit it off, something can form organically.

once in a Lifetime Opportunity, that's how I see the opportunity that I want to pursue not necessarily I'm smart and I'm not anyway. someone with more experience will definitely able to see things in a more realistic and practical way and that's exactly why I'm looking for a mentor.

There are two people in my network that I can consistently go to whenever there is something on my mind. I didn’t reach out for mentorship, it was just a regular email asking if we could connect. Over the last couple of years the relationship formed as I got to know them and they got to know me. I don’t know how you word your emails but just ask if you they’d be willing to connect, meet for a coffee and stay in touch of you clock with that person.

Grindr if you're looking for the mentor with that Yale thing
