Big4 Deal Advisory (Real Estate & Infrastructure) internship — any thoughts? + prep advice

Hey all,

I've got an internship coming up at a Big4 in Deal Advisory, Real Estate & Infrastructure (Europe). Background is an engineering degree, trying to pivot more towards the RE investment side over time.

Two questions:

  1. Anyone here done time in Big4 DA RE&I or something similar? Curious what the work actually looks like day to day, and whether it's a decent stepping stone if the goal is to move into investing/principal side later.
  2. What should I be brushing up on before I start? Modelling, valuation basics, anything specific to RE/infra deals you wish you'd known going in.
  3. Is there any real difference between the Big4 in reputation and for this kind of work

Trying to make the most of it. Appreciate any honest takes, good or bad.

Appreciate it!
