Blackstone Core+ team?

Can someone shed some light on Blackstone's core+ team? How are they viewed in comparison with their REPE team and what are some common exits from core+? Do core+ people do both acquisitions and AM?

For Europe atleast it seems that it's separated from their REPE team.   From the description of their summer analyst position in London, it seems that they don't play a direct role in the investment decisions?

Description for their summer analyst position:

  • Work closely with the acquisitions, asset management, portfolio management, capital markets, finance and Institutional Client Solutions (“ICS”) teams on all aspects of the Core+ business
  • Actively support due diligence, tax structuring, debt, and hedging strategies as well as preparation of investor materials
  • Monitor acquisition pipeline, investment results, and portfolio performance in relation to portfolio objectives
  • Help track operating and financial data for Core+ assets on a quarterly basis in conjunction with asset management and portfolio management
  • Maintain liquidity analysis and other fund models
  • Interface with internal counterparties including fund operations, accounting, legal, tax and compliance teams
  • Assist with quarterly reporting to LPs and other stakeholders
  • Assist with other marketing requests and materials, in conjunction with the ICS team
  • Excel modelling and development of presentations
