Blackstone Real Estate Asset Management - Analyst

Hi,

I had some questions about Blackstone Real Estate AM :

1 - Besides brick-and-mortar real estate, Blackstone is also buying companies. What is to be the asset manager of a real-estate operating company vs an individual asset ? What type of tasks do you perform concretely ?

2 - How close the team is working with transaction side, e.g. what roles Asset Management team play in a due diligence ?

3 - What one can expect in an interview ? About the fit ? How technical could it be, more than DCF or describing a proforma ?

I have an interview coming soon for an analyst position at Blackstone's Real Estate Asset Management division. I'm currently interned at a top RE investment manager in both AM & acquisitions.

Thank you for your insights!
