Breaking into REPE late
Hey everyone,
Tapping into the collective wisdom of this community to see if anyone can provide advice on making a career shift into REPE from property management. Currently 26 with a finance degree from a well respected NY business school (decent gpa) and looking to begin NYU MSRED next year. Lost my father in senior year 2020, which totally derailed my life for a bit. Fell behind and bounced around a few RE related jobs finally landing at a property/asset management firm. Besides brushing up on modeling and technical skills, what can I do to standout in a tough market without having the strongest resume.

Work your absolute hardest to get at least one, if not multiple, internships. You can make this transition for sure, but you need to build your resume.
