Cambridge MPhil Real Estate Finance: Are Graduates Still Staying in the UK?

I’m an incoming student for the Cambridge MPhil in Real Estate Finance and I’m trying to understand how recent cohorts have approached the UK job market after graduation.

Given the changes over the past few years (Graduate Route visa, sponsorship requirements, economic conditions, real estate market slowdown/recovery, etc.), I’m curious about what graduates have actually been doing in practice.

Man, if you're lucky there's going to be one other person with any applicable knowledge on this website. Ask people in the program or check graduates on LinkedIn.

I am a recent graduate of this course and happy to share my thoughts. Not sure exactly what you are looking for but as you will already know the entry level job market has been cooked the past few years. Grads from REF tend to do relatively well compared to peers (LSE, Bayes, Reading etc.) with most people wanting to stay in UK RE managing to find something. Main differentiator is experience and usually visa issues aren’t too much of a problem as long as the threshold salary is hit and the company is big enough. Happy to answer specific questions and best of luck with the course!
