Capital Advisory Analyst interview

Hi all,

I have a chat coming up with the head of a capital advisory team at a major brokerage for an analyst position. It would be working across D/E on middle market and above deals.

I'm confident I know what the role consists of (underwriting, IM presentations, client relations) but I wanted to know more about the actual underwriting process for D/E transactions. What are the main areas of focus/risk management etc? Any other tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

For context I have an MSc in RE and 4+yrs experience in the industry on the research side. I've been looking mostly at acquisition roles but originations seems like it could be a great fit for me and my future goals.
