Career Advice: Investment Advisory vs. Investment Sales

Hi,

For someone who has the end goal of working in buy-side acquisitions, which of the following two would offer the best exit opps:

a) fund investment advisory: in a nutshell, non discretionary fund management
b) investment sales: asset class and region agnostic

Both roles are at the same company (big brokerage) and at analyst level. UK based with some EMEA exposure.
