Career Trajectory Help

Hi all!

I am currently a senior associate Asset Manager (responsible for all my own properties) at a top 10 REPE shop. I am looking to relocate cities - but the only role I can find in the city I want to be in is an Associate position (at another top 10 firm), with opportunity to be promoted to senior associate in a year. In this role, it would be more so supporting the VPs rather than managing my own properties. Also, if I stay at my current firm, there is a 50/50 chance I get a VP title in December. What would you do, is it worth going "backwards" to get to the city I want to be in (it is a top firm), even though it's a lower level?
