Carlyle 2-Year Associate Exits

Can anyone provide background on exits from the CG 2 year associate program for REPE.

I already have a MS in real estate so after 2 years would be hoping to target senior associate roles at other mega funds back in NYC but unsure how common this is vs having to still come in as associate.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, Carlyle's 2-year associate program in Real Estate Private Equity (REPE) is highly regarded and provides significant learning opportunities. Many associates leverage their experience to transition into senior associate roles at other mega funds, especially if they have strong credentials like a Master's in Real Estate. However, the transition to senior associate roles directly after the program may depend on the specific firm and market conditions.

While targeting senior associate roles is feasible, some individuals may still need to come in as associates, particularly at top-tier firms, to align with their internal promotion structures. Networking and showcasing the depth of your experience during your time at Carlyle will be critical in positioning yourself for senior associate roles.
