Was recently told that CBRE has their new hire analysts fly to Chicago for an underwriting "bootcamp" style training program for 2-3 weeks? (after they get hired) Can anyone confirm accuracy? I am lining up an interview and just wanted to hear if anyone had experience with this?

Are you interviewing as an analyst for FCG in CBRE?
If that's the case can confirm they fly you out to train you, they normally fly out the newest hiring pool in the summer to Denver. Could be the case they switched to CHI as a large portion of FCG sits there. Can speak on this as I was part of CBRE FCG up until recently.

Got it - they will teach you FCG Best Practices for utilizing Argus Enterprise and learn about their macro enabled workbook. Along with other underwriting strategies/problem sets.
When I interviewed with them I remember the MD stated he preferred hiring people with minimal experience AE so FCG can "mold them" into their way of thinking seamlessly - so no stress if you don't AE experience
