CMBS Conduit Datatapes - Efficient ways to download/extract?
Hello RE Forum - long time lurker here.
I currently work in REPE as an associate and a big part of my job is tracking publicly filed CMBS issuances. Basically my task is to extract loan data from prospectus filings and get it into excel so I can analyze it and compare to other deals. I have no issue finding deals, but there's gotta be a better way to get this data vs. copy/pasting into Excel, which takes a lot of time.
Am I doing it all wrong? Is there a better way to get this from either the issuers themselves or through a VBA method? Any help or suggestions very appreciated.
Sidenote: we want the loan data from the actual source, not Bloomerg exports...
