CMBS Originations Comp

I'm looking to get information on how compensation progression in a CMBS origination group at a BB looks like.

From talking to people, it sounds like Analysts start out at ~$90k as their base.

What typical ranges would be for bonuses? How quickly does the base salary and bonus grow through the Analyst, Associate, and VP years?

Comp at my bank (not a BB) is

Analyst - $85k base, ~50% bonus (if you’re good) Associate - $100k base, ~50% bonus I’ve heard rumors that first year VP is $250-300k

Sorry - was not clear enough. First year VP will pull around $250/300. As the years progress their production increases and depending on how they do, will be 400k, 500k, etc.

Tell me about it... it’s frustrating to me but they’ll push you up to $160/170k if you’re busting your ass. I think comp is low, but we also aren’t grinding until midnight every night so there’s a trade off

I'd assume its the same pay as all FO possitions at all BBs, right? How much are the differences in the bonuses though?
