Hey there - does anyone have any information on Coastal Ridge Real Estate? They have been growing quickly since inception in 2013 and are growing their Investments team. Currently looking at an Analyst position and determining if it would be a good role to potentially take if I receive an offer. Any advice / info would be appreciated!

without looking too hard at them it doesn't look to me like they are REPE. i don't think they're a fund. not that that matters, could still be great.
They have a small group based out of Malibu. Bulk of company based in Columbus Ohio.
Their entire acquisitions program is run through the LA office. Basically they started out as a prop Mgmt platform and brought in some high net worth and family office capital years ago to start buying student deals. They have branched out to do market rate and senior deals as well.

This might be a dumb question, but what defines a company as a REPE? My company buys strip malls all over the country, we have LPs that put up about 90% of the equity and then we put up the remaining 10%. Is my company considered to be in REPE? Our capital comes from bought institutional partners and HNWI.
their analysts are cool, sharp people. my understanding is work schedule is pretty demanding, but not insane. seem to churn through a lot of volume and take down a lot of different types of deals in different markets--no real niche/product type specialty.
