Beneficial for what exactly?
Hi.. Beneficial from the buying perspective.
They're not comparable. A home serves a vastly different function than an investment property and you're looking for different things.
Unless by commercial you mean industrial/retail/etc?
I think some people call commercial: retail, office, industrial, hospitality and residential:multifamily.
But to me it is all commercial, like you said residential is houses
Both residential and commercial properties have proven to be excellent and profitable investments for all, but as per my opinion, commercial real estate could be a better option for property investors or property owners who are willing to undertake a large venture and to grow in real estate.
As per my opinion, Commercial property has a number of advantages than residential. You can control the value of a commercial property much easier than with residential property,Economies of scale and also have Less administrative headaches.
Thanks all for sharing your views. I think there are majority of the pros and cons to each option. Research your market and that may help you with your decision. Either way, pick one and go for it!
Typically for an individual, commercial property is viewed as more risky than a residential rental. Aka more risk = more headache = harder to find tenants = more profitable long term (very much on average)
Commercial could be more beneficial in the year 2020!
every property/asset is different. also depends on your basis and risk-adjusted returns you're seeking
