CRE Lending
What is the pay, and bonus potential like at a BB CRE lending group for first year analysts. Think Wells/JPM/Citi ? Would this be considered Commercial banking?

Hey Intern in AM - Equities, sorry about the delay, but are any of these useful:
More suggestions...
Fingers crossed that one of those helps you.
My base is little over 100k and it is in commercial banking.
Are you at one of the firms above? Citi/JPM/Wells, and also do you get a bonus?
Not one of those, and yes I will get a bonus.
Don't worry about pay at junior levels. Take the job you think you will enjoy more.
2nd year analyst - base pay of 115K + expected bonus of another 20-25. So all in is $135K-$140K.
That’s really good, what are the hours like?? I’m at a regional bank but very well known and respected in NYC CRE. First year analyst at $75K base but been working like 20 hours a week during the summer
Are you at one of the firms above? Citi/JPM/Wells
Yeah. Hours are 40-45 a week.
I'd assume $85-100M base and $10-15M bonus in the commercial banking team. Some CRE lending teams sit in the investment banking or markets part of the bank and would be $100M base and $40-100M bonus.
Please tell me where I can make $100,000,000 base with a 40% bonus

Anyone know comp for a VP doing debt placement at a shop like Eastdil Secured? Base and bonus? Any % of fees?
Base ~200 bonus ~100%
isn't that, not that much more for lending/equity and worse hours?
A VP doing debt placement would be 100% commission
I work at a dedicated MF CRE lender. Im a second year production analyst and my base is $70-$80k. Bonus gets paid out depending on team closings but usually ends up being 100-130% of base
Typically yes it is commercial banking, although some banks have a commercial banking group for borrowers/deals under a certain size, and a separate corporate banking or capital markets/IB group for larger borrowers and REITs.
Not a BB but a CBRE/Newmark/JLL/Berkadia.
2nd yr Analyst in MF debt screening. $90k base, ~$24 bonus, $25 retention bonus.
deal flow >$1B of loan screenings per year and picking up.
Debt experience ranges from debt fund, LifeCo, GSE (80% of deals are GSE) and some banks (mostly local credit unions and alike for smaller markets)
