Decision: Infrastructure Development or Investment Sales
Hi everyone,
I'm a recent graduate interested in getting into development, with the ultimate goal of starting my own firm. I have an offer from a medium size developer in a larger city (LA, SF). That being said, they specialize in infrastructure development, for example, airports, university buildings, and some affordable housing MF deals.
I'd like to eventually end up in residential or commercial development and I know infrastructure is quite a bit different, but I thought it might be easier to pivot into?
Additionally, I have an investment sales offer from Eastdil.
What would be best if I'm interested in starting my own development firm?
Start in infra, pivot to resi dev or IS at Eastdil?
Eastdil for sure, infrastructure/public service development is very niche and IS doesn't get any better than Eastdil.
Agreed. Take the Eastdil gig, the experience & training will be invaluable.
