Haven't seen it specifically but don't think it will be too hard, especially if you apply to debt funds. I know that a lot of people have made the switch from generalist investment bankers to REPE.
Agree with maddux. Seems like a great skillset for REPE, especially places like Fortress, but can't say for sure. If nobody else replies, if I were you, to be safe, I'd track down and PM some of the guys who have been through IBK and work in RE. Or even ask Flake, I'm pretty sure he covers FIG.
