Development Acqusitions Pay?
What is the average pay for an Acquisitions role (Analyst, Assc, VP, MD etc) in a large Development company? It seems a lot of people talk about the Acquisitions pay in REITS/REPE but not Development.
Should be similar based on size of company / company’s they compete with and who they work with. Developers compete with REPE firms and REITS, etc. for talent. Your comp may be structured differently as you move up. For instance, carry might be deal by deal. Of you may get a cut of the fees. But for all intents and purposes, it’ll be similar. On the lower end of the spectrum, developers generally pay analysts and associates less, but not by much (and sometimes this is not true). In my shop (large developer) or analysts make just as much as the PE analysts.
