Development to Acquisitions or IS. Am I nuts?

Fellow monkeys, always grateful for the insight and help so many of you provide. Long time listener, first(ish) time caller.

Wondering if anyone here has made the jump from development to Acquisitions or a top IS team? Super brief background, been working at a smaller dev firm in the North East working on mixed-use and hospitality development, love the role and where I'm at but I feel like I'm constantly looking for a faster pace environment. Has anyone made the jump from dev to repe/lifeco or IS? If so, looking back, would you change anything? How transferable did you find your development skillset?

Finally, am I completely out of my mind in my contemplation to jump ship?

Any and all insight is appreciated.
