I can't offer much insight on Vanke specifically, but many of the large Chinese institutions are getting ransacked by government regulators and impending debt maturities. I'm not sure that Vanke falls into the same category, but I would think twice about entering into any business relationship/employment with Anbang, Fosun, HNA, etc.
Vanke has it's corporate-level debt issuance out of Hong Kong and money raised in Hong Kong can flow freely internationally. They already have $1 billion of assets in the US.
