Does anyone know if Partners Group does real estate out of their NYC office at all?

Also insight to the culture there ? Know the Denver office has a bad rep but curious on the culture of the NYC office if they also do real estate there.

The NYC office focuses on direct investments. The Denver office focuses on fund investments.

Great! — any insight into culture/hours in the NY office ?

Don't know too much about them too much. My shop pitched to them a few times for some direct deals and fund investments so we worked with both the NYC and Denver guys.

They seem more of a capital aggregator similar to BX and other MFs where they partner with smaller REPE shops and GPs to deploy capital. I think they are an okay shop but tbh I think you would gain much better exposure working for an operator and knowing a market or asset class in and out.

A place like Partners you would do a lot of reporting stuff and work maybe on flashy deals but wouldn't learn the weeds and nuances of the business which is where the value is created. The GPs do all the heavy lifting so your job would be more of reporting on different investments and reviewing memos sent by GPs and putting together DD questions for the GPs etc.

--Sounds about right. I'm more interested in them because I'm trying to transition to switzerland/germany in the future and need a company that has offices there I can transfer to in a few years with English as the main language.

Denver runs direct deals as well.
