Does moving from repe to development nearly always entail a pay cut?
Title says it, does moving from repe to development mean you’re going to have to take a pay cut? Interested in giving it a try at some point but don’t know if I’d want to take the pay cut
Most likely yes, unless if you have a nice piece of the pie
There are som firms that kind of blend everything together. At Hines for example, if you are in a local office, you will be working on acquisitions and developments. You would probably have less of a pay cut, but are also way less likely to get a piece of any of the deals until much later in your career.
