Newmark (Harmon's team) & CBRE (Stacoms team)
Harmon and Spies were previously with Eastdil. Now they're jumping around to different brokerage houses collecting fat checks. Funny how individual rainmakers can make a shop go from totally irrelevant (think Cushman or Newmark early 2010s) to among the best. Just one more affirmation that real estate really is a people/relationship business. If they were truly "looking for a new challenge" like the RealDeal article claimed, they should have joined Marcus & Millichap!
Newmark D/E placement team in NYC does a hell of a lot of volume. It feels like Stolly and Roeschlaub do a $200M loan every other week.
Eastdil NYC had all of their rainmakers leave, and are out of the top 3 now. JLL NYC D/E are consistently #1 in terms of volume for the city and then you have teams like Harmon/Spies and Stacom who crush 24/7.
Yeah, I don't think of Eastdil as the best in NY.. as others have said, it's Stacom and Harmon/Spies and then everybody else.
I would put Dustin Stolly as above too
